PERSONAL PERSPECTIVES
Leviathen Hendricks
I started attending a Unitarian church as a teenager and found
reassurance in the writings of Joseph Campbell; most profoundly 'The
Power of Myth'. Life and exposure led me to the UNITY organisation in
New York City where one's co-creatorship in one's life and the existence
of the Universe was celebrated. Marianne Williamson was a guest speaker
one day and she and her message about A Course in Miracles instantly
became a catalyst in my life. When I moved to the UK, I searched for a
similar spiritual community but found none at the time, which led me to
start fostering one and getting involved with creating spaces where gays
and lesbians could meet and share their wonderment with the divine.
