PERSONAL PERSPECTIVES
Geoffrey Henning
As
we move closer to 2012 more energy shifts are likely, prior to the
major one towards the end of the year. These shifts will awaken in many
people, a deep sense of change, a sense of needing to belong to a
community or greater consciousness.
This could lead many people to seek a more spiritual solution for their lives. This can not only be achieved by turning inwards but also outwards, by reaching towards such practices as yoga,
meditation, chi gong, etc. Each of these traditions offer a more
balanced alignment between Mind and Body, and Head and Heart and a
chance to develop personal solutions to change.
I
believe we are all perfect; perfect creations of spirit in a physical
body, having a physical experience. If we look deep enough within, all
the answers are waiting to be revealed. There are many opportunities to explore different ways to uncover our spiritual potential.
I
recall a book, largely channelled by Andrew Ramer (Two flutes playing),
where he refers to the role of gay men being integral to health of
society when it was largely nomadic. Only when people settled and built
communities, did the healing role played by gay men, central to their
society, diminish.
Each
of us is uniquely different, each of us needs to find our own solution
to move us, more and more into a place of personal peace. The energy
balance we gay men already hold, is an important key to supporting the
delivery of the new age and needs to be unlocked in many more people, so
that we can truly fulfill our contract as spirits in a physical body.
For
hundreds of years men and women have worked largely with their heads,
rationalizing their actions and their lives, and improving science and
technology in the process. This period has been the age of Pisces, an
age of war and separation. We have seen this in abundance with two world wars and smaller wars still playing out today.
During this time, we have been lifting out of our lower, physical natures, to that of our soul. To reach this point, we needed the struggles as they are part of the process. Whether we were sufficiently successful will be revealed as we move forward and embrace the new energy being offered to us.
These
struggles helped to unbalance the collective energy (i.e., the role of
women in society). Perhaps this is where the role of gay men fits in? As
we bring our own combination of energy into the world to support that
of the female. Helping to balance the energy of the planet.
Until
now, the role of the 'alpha male' has been unchecked, leading to
the wars and the environmental destruction that has devastated our
planet. We need to return to a time of caring and loving, so that the
best of all of us can manifest, in a caring and supporting manner.
But
this age is coming to an end and we have been promised a new period of
Aquarius, starting formally in 2012. This is promised to be a period of
approximately 2500 years, when people will move out of their heads and
into a more balanced place of head and heart; a time of community and
sharing.
It
goes without saying that the early years of Aquarius will carry much of
the old energy and we will see this aggressive masculine energy still
for years to come. But this power base has passed and is now in decline.
You may well ask where gay men and 'gaysouls' fit into this paradigm? I will endeavour to explain what I understand about this concept and welcome any discussion, these views are entirely personal. I should also preface any further discussion with my definition of 'gaysoul'.
For
me, this could be anyone who carries a percentage of the dual
male/female energy. Clearly, openly gaymen carry a greater percentage of
this energy and many are possibly closer to achieving a 50/50 ratio.
I’m unable to speak of lesbians, bisexuals or others.
The new
age will need all of humanity to embrace this new energetic
opportunity, so we all move into a state of empowerment over the next 50
years, fully acknowledging this energy balance.
This
is important because there is an innate healing quality associated with
this state of being. A healing quality that does not need to be a
burden nor an effort but one that will flow, by merely acknowledging the
balance and living a life conscious of this. It is likely to make us
more intuitive and aware of what is going on around us; more able to
respond to questions and issues and more able to support one another.
This will bring greater harmony and joy into our daily lives, our
actions and our statements.
I recall a book, largely channeled by Andrew Ramer (Two flutes playing),
where he refers to the central position of gay men being spiritual
leaders in society, when it was largely nomadic. Only when people
settled and built communities, did the healing role played by gay men,
central to their society, diminish.
This
resonated strongly with me. More importantly, now is the time for this
nurturing knowledge to come forth and heal(th?) the wounds created over
the past 2000 years and so speed up our move into the new age, with
courage rather than fear. This knowledge is within us, waiting to be
revived.
This
new opportunity for us to be openly 'gaysouls' can only be good news,
both for us as individuals but also for those around us. We have had
many years of to practice forgiving people for the things they said
about or did to us. This practice of forgiveness is an essential quality
if we are to help shift people into a new space.
By shifting people and creating a mass consciousness of healing and forgiveness, we will naturally help and heal the earth.
