Christian de la Huerta

author of Coming Out Spiritually: The Next Step

Christian is a passionate proponent of the special role he sees LGBT and queer people playing in today’s society. He believes that they are meant to be catalysts for our planet’s spiritual evolution,
and that it’s time they embraced this joyous responsibility.

A worldwide spiritual awakening is taking place. What is the role of gay, lesbian and other queer people in this extraordinary phenomenon? What does it mean to Come out Spiritually?

Christian is a spiritual leader and master breathwork practitioner; has been a writer, speaker, retreat and group facilitator for the past 20 years. Author of the award-winning and critically-acclaimed “Coming out Spiritually,” he is currently working on his new book “The Soul of Power.” Christian is founder of Mastery of Breath, a school, program and system of training based on the principles of Transformational Breathwork. He is also founder of Q-Spirit, an international group devoted to catalyzing conditions for LGBT people to fully claim their spiritual roles of service, leadership and community enrichment in the world.

Christian is creator and teacher of several self-development programs focusing on self-awareness, advanced spiritual practices and growth, understanding sex and relationships, mechanisms of the ego and projection, life purpose, and reclaiming personal spiritual power. His teaching is innately connected to the essence of world spiritual traditions.

He is an acclaimed speaker at East and West Coast spiritual and religious communities and at universities nationwide, where audiences find Christian’s message particularly powerful in these times. Christian also practices as a spiritual coach and a leadership development consultant whose work ranges from individuals and couples in private practice to major corporate engagements and non-profit groups.

Retreats, workshops and breathwork groups led by Christian are known for their life-changing exquisite spiritual experience and for one-of-a-kind exploration of our inner potential. Most of our graduates return often to be part of our events. Our spiritual community grows by leaps. We invite you to join us in this work of transformation, fun and personal growth.

more inspiring words from Christian:

How can LGBT people today reclaim their archetypal roles as healers, shamans, visionaries?
Millennia ago, in many cultures throughout the world, those with ambiguous gender or same-sex desire were recognized through initiation into the mystical arts and revered as visionaries, healers, and spiritual guides. In these cultures sexual minorities were central to the spiritual welfare of the collective society. In more recent times, our modern-day religions forged an artificial split between sexuality and spirituality. Sex became purely functional, and the vital differences between religion and spirituality were lost.
Today, LGBT people of all sexualities are reclaiming their identities in vast numbers. Yet many continue to be shunned by today’s religious institutions. This retreat supports participants to reclaim and define their own spiritual role in the global spiritual awakening that is taking place.
